Floating Boat

A boat that drifts upon the tide,

With gentle sway, it moves aside,

The water's surface smooth and still,

A peaceful scene, a tranquil thrill.

The boat is made of wood and lace,

With flowers and ribbons, a colorful grace,

It drifts along, on breeze and tide,

A symbol of freedom, a journey to abide.

The boat rocks gently, as it glides,

On the ripples, it peacefully resides,

The sun is setting, painting the sky,

A canvas of oranges, yellows and reds, so high.

The boat is a sanctuary, a small piece of land,

Where worries are left, with the shifting of sand,

On the horizon, a new day awaits,

But for now, the boat, it simply floats.

With every sway and gentle tilt,

The boat reminds us of life's fluid guilt,

That nothing stays the same, but all is well,

For as long as we're floating, with stories to tell.
